Recipe For Bean Stew With Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried white beans
  • 300 grams of beef cubes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste from Öz Antep
  • 1 tsp chilli powder from Öz Antep
  • salt
  • 4.5-5 cups of hot water
  • a bit of vegetable oil
  • 1 cube of sugar

So here's how it works:

  1. Soak the white beans in cold water overnight, drain the next day, and wash thoroughly.
  2. Fry the beef in a pressure cooker with a little vegetable oil over high heat until it takes on color.
  3. Add the fried beans.
  4. Chop the onion and pepper and add them together with the tomato paste and paprika.
  5. Add about 4.5–5 cups of hot water, which slightly covers the beans.
  6. Add salt and sugar and stir well; close the lid of the pressure cooker.
  7. Cook the dish over high heat until the pressure valve of the pressure cooker whistles, then simmer over medium heat for another 30 minutes.
  8. The cooking time depends on the freshness of the beans.
  9. After 30 minutes, it is advisable to check the dish; if it is not ready yet, you can let it cook a little longer.

INSIDER TIP:

If you do not boil the beans, more vitamins will be preserved and the taste will be more intense.
