"Öz Antep"

A Touch of Turkey in Your Kitchen

Recipe for breakfast dip, "Çemen"

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp tomato paste from Öz Antep
  • 2 tbsp paprika paste from Öz Antep
  • 4-5 grated garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup ground walnuts
  • Cumin, paprika powder, black pepper, and thyme from Öz Antep (you can adjust the amount of spices according to your taste)
  • 1.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp breadcrumbs (increase depending on the desired consistency)

 

So here's how it works:

  1. Take a deep bowl and add the tomato paste and paprika paste.
  2. Add olive oil and stir everything well.
  3. Add the ground walnuts, grated garlic, and spices, and mix thoroughly.
  4. Depending on the desired consistency, add more breadcrumbs, stir again, and let it rest in the fridge. Bon Appetit!

INSIDER TIP:

Decorate Çemen with parsley leaves and lemon slices and serve. Instead of simply adding the breadcrumbs or bread, it is recommended to moisten it with very little water and soften it before adding it to the other ingredients.
